One Night Only is Soho House’s signature series of food pop-ups, where renowned local chefs take over our kitchens and create a unique menu for a special member experience. Director of PPS, Ayesha Erkin, featured her concept "Watan" in Austin, TX - named after her family's former woolen factory in Pakistan. The dinner celebrated Erkin's rich cultural heritage spanning the Old Silk Road, from East Turkistan to Texas, through a carefully curated menu of traditional dishes. The multi-course experience began with Uyghur Tokach bread and Karak chai, progressed through regional specialties like Turkish Zucchini Borani and Uzbek Samsa, and culminated in the signature "King of the Table" Uyghur Polo. The menu seamlessly wove together family recipes and personal history, including a Texas-inspired Sopapilla Cheesecake that represented her family's new roots. Guests departed with a preview of Erkin's upcoming chili oil brand, Laza, creating an intimate dining experience that transformed Soho House's kitchen into a journey through the chef's cultural landscape.
