"My Mother's Closet" emerged as a deeply personal exploration during the Covid-19 pandemic, transforming isolation into an opportunity for cultural storytelling through fashion. Working with zero budget, this intimate series documented inherited garments from both mother and grandmothers, reimagining these cherished pieces through contemporary styling and creative direction. Each photograph, composed using found objects and improvised sets within the home, served as a bridge between generations. The project expanded beyond visual documentation through an accompanying interview series, where conversations with the artist's mother unveiled the rich narratives behind each garment - their origins, the occasions they marked, and their journey through time. This self-directed work not only preserved family history but also demonstrated how cultural heritage can be reinterpreted and kept alive through creative adaptation.
