For Mercury Bank’s Meridian Magazine's 'PIVOT' issue launch, we created an immersive dining experience that wove together heritage and travel through innovative culinary and design elements. The event centered around a thoughtfully curated tablescape that divided narratives into "Where I'm From" and "Where I've Been," exploring identity through food and design.
The culinary journey featured fusion dishes like Mangosteen and Gula Melaka Panna Cotta, Tuna Onigiri with Bonito flakes, and Hojicha Sticky Toffee Pudding, alongside dishes celebrating Turkic-Arab heritage. The design incorporated sustainable elements including biodegradable plates and creative repurposing, with a vintage kimono runner anchoring the visual narrative.
Drawing over 200 guests, the event transformed a traditional magazine launch into a multisensory experience where design, food, and storytelling converged to create meaningful connections. The success of this event demonstrated our ability to craft holistic experiences that engage all senses while honoring cultural narratives.
