Concept

PPS was invited to design the first ever immersive Iftar dinner experience for Bundesliga x Yalla Goal - blending football culture, MENA cuisine, and Bauhaus-inspired design. The event was filmed as part of a Yalla Goal Ramadan special, and hosted 30+ guests at O15 Academy, a football training facility in Jeddah.

With no professional kitchen or event infrastructure on site, PPS took a production-first approach: building a kitchen from scratch, designing a long custom table installation, and styling every detail around the dual themes of football and futurism, all with a playful, Gen Z sensibility.

What We Did

Football-Inspired Tablescape : PPS created a custom jersey-style tablecloth, woven with Bundesliga football jerseys into an S-shaped form that disrupted the usual rigidity of a football pitch. The curving form invited intimacy and play a visual and spatial contrast to the field’s structure.

Custom Touch points: Branded Arabic logo napkins, custom menus (designed by Farah Al Zeer), and mini footballs in place of traditional candles brought the concept to life. PPS also sourced plates and cutlery in soft pinks and greens, offsetting the bold colors of Bundesliga and Yalla Goal branding.

Lighting Design with Bauhaus Influence: Table lighting took cues from Bauhaus principles - clean geometry, repetition, and color theory, combined with warm tones to mimic sunset and post-match glow. The effect: soft, surreal, and subtly athletic.

Tasting Table Installation: In addition to the seated dinner, PPS and Dina Macki hosted an interactive “Guess the Dish” tasting challenge, with guests gathered around a circular table. Five dishes from across the MENA region were served blind, and guests had to guess their country of origin - Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Syria, and more.

Three-Course Menu & Custom Dessert : Together with Dina Macki, PPS curated a regional Iftar menu and designed a custom football-shaped dessert, featuring a white chocolate shell and caramel interior. Drinks, dates, tea, and Arabic coffee rounded out the menu, all styled in line with the event’s visual language.

Production & Infrastructure Build: With no kitchen available at O15, PPS oversaw the construction of a mobile prep space and coordinated service staffing. Every visual was designed with YouTube production in mind, ensuring seamless storytelling through camera movement, lighting, and plating.
